Spennymoor Town F.C fans have been asked to help shape the community town funding plan, which aims to rejuvenate and improve the area around the club.
The fans have been asked to contribute ideas as part of the long term plan for the club’s funding programme.
It was announced that in October 2023 that the club had been granted the beneficiaries of the government programme which has the idea to support sustainable growth, improve scheme infrastructure and to contribute to community development.
The Club’s Managing Director, Ian Geldard is to take up a seat on the newly formed Spennymoor Town Board which will formulate a plan on how the £20 million fund will be spent over the next decade.

The money must be used in line with the government’s three themes of high streets, heritage and regeneration, transport and connectivity, safety and security.
The key basis of the programme is putting local people at the heart of the town’s priorities and to make sure that every single member of the community has a voice.
The Board is therefore keen to hear from residents in the town on how the money should be spent through Spennymoor Town Football Club.
